Setting the FaxPress Enterprise & Enterprise Redundant Server Properties

Other Related Topics...

The FaxPress Enterprise Server Properties, a collection of the FaxPress Enterprise’s configurable fax parameters, are accessed through FaxPress Plus, the fax administration and fax transmission client.

The instructions shown below apply to both the Enterprise and Enteprise Redundant Units.

If you have not yet configured the FaxPress Enterprise or Enterprise Redundant for basic operation, see Configuring the FaxPress Enterprise orConfiguring the FaxPress Enterprise Redundant .

The FaxPress Enterprise and Enterprise Redundant Server Properties include these settings:

Server Settings

Line Settings*

Storage Reclamation

Dialing Properties*

Advanced Functions

Castelle Internet Faxing

Load Sharing

Email*

Routing Type*

Server Information

User Authentication (Novell only)

*Configuration required.

Two of the FaxPress Enterprise’s Server Properties, the Line Settings and the Dialing Properties, require configuration immediately, before the FaxPress Enterprise can send and receive faxes. The Email properties should also be configured. These settings enable the Enterprise to send system alert notices to the administrator and send faxes to email as well as fax recipients. They also allow users to access email address books for fax addressing, and for fax/email integration using the Email Gateway. The Routing Type settings must also be configured for integration with your PBX system and digital line.

For information on basic configuration see Configuring the FaxPress Enterprise or Configuring the FaxPress Enterprise Redundant . To configure the Enterprise for automatic routing and PBX integration, see Automatic Routing and PBX System Integration; to configure the Enterprise Redundant for automatic routing and PBX integration, see Automatic Routing and PBX System Integration. The rest of the Server Properties can be configured as needed after the FaxPress Enterprise or Enterprise Redundant is operational.
